Project Gustav to push aside Microsoft Paint (video)

Artists have had more than 20 years to perfect their skills in Microsoft Paint, and they’ve come up with thousands of pretty amazing works of art.

But anyone who’s used Paint � and that’s just about everyone � knows its a pain to get anything to look anywhere near nice. The software needs to be used as its own medium � real-world drawing and painting skills don’t really cross over.

Not anymore. Microsoft Research is developing a painting program codenamed Project Gustav. And it brings real-world painting physics to the computer.
